The Garmin Forerunner 955 will be a top-end triathlon watch, following in the footsteps of the venerable Forerunner 945, and we;re rounding up all the latest news, rumors, and predictions for you right here. Details are scarce so far, but following the launch of the Garmin Forerunner 55 in 2021, and the long-awaited Fenix 7 in January 2022, it's surely only a matter of time before the 955 arrives on runners' wrists. Latest update: In late January 2022, a page briefly appeared on Garmin's Australian website, which appeared to confirm the existence of a Forerunner 955 LTE edition.   https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/t/why-cars-prices-has-risen-up/1769362/5 https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Fifa-game-opening/m-p/11242686#M38567 https://www.producthunt.com/discussions/84896-what-are-the-companies-that-no-one-knows-about-but-could-dominate-future-markets https://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/threads/why-cant-i-design-an-electronic-circuit-although-i-can-solve-problems-...

Intel Core i9 Alder Lake laptop CPU is faster than Apple M1 Max

Intel’s Alder Lake Core i9 flagship laptop processor is faster than Apple’s M1 Max SoC, according to some fresh benchmarking, but the caveat is that the latter is way more energy-efficient. The Core i9-12900HK nestling in an MSI GE76 Raider notebook was put through its paces by Macworld and compared to a pair of MacBook Pro 14-inch models running the M1 Max and M1 Pro chips respectively. The testing used Geekbench and Cinebench as both these benchmarks can be run on Windows and Mac machines. For Geekbench, the Alder Lake CPU pulled ahead of the M1 Max, with scores of 13,235 versus 12,590 respectively for multi-core, a relatively narrow 5% win, and 1,838 versus 1,774 in single-core. As Macworld points out, that’s not a difference you’ll really notice in terms of real-world performance, but it’s still a victory for Intel, and a bit more than a marginal one. https://politics.googleblog.com/2012/05/color-inside-lines-new-congressional.html?showComment=1643261542449#c291171028...

GPU prices are finally dropping again

Popular graphics cards from both AMD and Nvidia are starting to fall in price after many months of suffering from artificial inflation. While still selling for over the MSRP (manufacturers recommended retail price), 3DCenter reports that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series is currently selling for around 77% over MSRP vs the 87% over from last month. The AMD Radeon RX 6000 series is also seeing a similar reduction, currently retailing for 67% over MSRP instead of 83%. http://tcx.oum.edu.my/tcxv2/2010/issue28/index.php?op=comment&id=5 https://blog.dotcomsecrets.com/guess-what-it-still-works-perfect-webinar-worked-perfectly-again/#comment-22408 https://blogs.bgsu.edu/brittdh/2011/10/21/chapter-one-key-point/#comment-94398 https://sanjose.granicusideas.com/ideas/brand-around-federer-with-nike?page=9 https://www.officialyayatoure.com/general/yaya-signs-for-qingdao-huanghai-football-club/#comment-123449 https://gotartwork.com/Blog/drift-hunters-super-speed-game-with-the-most-...

PS5 restock confirmed at PlayStation Direct today - here's when consoles are available

Email invites have been sent out for the next PS5 restock at the PlayStation Direct store in the US. It will take place today at 2pm ET and run until 7pm ET - or until stocks last. Those in the UK or Europe, keep an eye on your inboxes for invites soon, or can always follow our PS5 restock live blog for the latest updates on console drops from here and all the top retailers. So, if you registered with Sony over the last couple of weeks you'll want to check your emails to see if there's an exclusive invite waiting there for you. All you need to do is follow that link once the restock goes live, where you'll be given a random spot in the queue and - hopefully - a chance to buy a PS5 console. We say hopefully because one is still not guaranteed even with the invite. Your chances should be good, though, if you get a good early spot in the virtual queue. What if you've registered and haven't been sent an email? That's just bad luck, unfortunately. Your...

The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller really needs a refresh

I’ve been a massive fan of the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller since its release; I adore the chunky face buttons and the exceptional battery life, and Nintendo absolutely nailed the ergonomics. The fact that it has asymmetrical analog sticks is also another huge win in my book. However, after almost five years the Switch Pro Controller is starting to feel noticeably outdated, and it’s about time Nintendo gave its premier pad a makeover. The Switch Pro Controller undoubtedly has its issues, some of which have existed since launch, while others have manifested themselves as the years have rolled on. And considering that the list price of the Switch Pro Controller is still $69.99 / £59.99 / AU$99.95 (although you can often get it for less), it’s also starting to feel needlessly expensive for what you get.   https://www.infragistics.com/community/members/5666372e51beeeb1d71d5290d3cf65dcf98f5f3f https://yolotheme.com/forums/users/tejar371/ http://www.rohitab.com/discus...

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday special filming delayed, but Guardians 3 still on track

Director and writer James Gunn has yet to start filming the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, due to release in December 2022. Speaking with Collider, Gunn explains that this is due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the Omicron variant simply making it unsafe to film. "We were supposed to shoot one day in LA, and there's too much Omicron around, so we couldn't do it" says Gunn, adding that he's very excited about the special. "I'm almost jealous of it, even though I wrote it because people freak out so much on how much they love the script for the holiday special that I'm almost like, 'Well, wait. I've got this movie here I've been working on for two years. You love the holiday special that I literally wrote in a very short amount of time.' But, it is really funny and really good."   https://hireclub.com/tejar37 https://www.bizofit.com/business-directory/tejar/ https://www.blackhatway.com/index.php?action=profile...

The Logitech Litra Glow could make even a cheap webcam look incredible

Logitech is well known for making some of the best webcams on the market, but its latest product announcement is actually something to improve the quality of your camera footage rather than another webcam model itself.  The Litra Glow is a lighting solution that can be mounted onto your laptop or desktop monitor just like a webcam, and is designed to softly illuminate your face in a similar way to professional studio lighting. It joins the Logitech for Creator's lineup, a list of products designed to help content creators improve the quality of their streams, videos and general broadcasting, and has an official MSRP of $59.99 / £59.99 / AU$89.95. Having insufficient lighting can cause even the most expensive webcams marketed towards professional content creators to look grainy and low quality because the sensor within the camera will struggle to capture a decent image without enough light in the environment.   Much in the way that a photography studio will be...

Apple MR headset could be as powerful as a MacBook Pro – but only for short bursts

Analysts predict that Apple’s MR headset will have the same computing power as the MacBook Pro – even if other reports suggest you’ll only be able to use it for brief periods of time. The speculation surrounding the mixed reality headset’s processing power comes from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via AppleInsider). He predicts the Apple headset will likely have the same M1 chip and similar computing power as the MacBook Pro, given the Apple MR headset reportedly requires the same 96W charger as the premium laptop. Unfortunately, though, this impressive power may come with limitations, as Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman cites multiple sources in saying that the Apple headset is designed to be used only in short bursts. We doubt Apple would impose digital time-outs on its customers to lock them out of the headset, so it’s more likely due to the company intentionally installing a small battery to force users back into the real world periodically. Given that previous rumors have indicated A...
