Garmin Forerunner 955: everything we know so far

 

The Garmin Forerunner 955 will be a top-end triathlon watch, following in the footsteps of the venerable Forerunner 945, and we;re rounding up all the latest news, rumors, and predictions for you right here.

Details are scarce so far, but following the launch of the Garmin Forerunner 55 in 2021, and the long-awaited Fenix 7 in January 2022, it's surely only a matter of time before the 955 arrives on runners' wrists.

Latest update: In late January 2022, a page briefly appeared on Garmin's Australian website, which appeared to confirm the existence of a Forerunner 955 LTE edition.

 

 

 

First, a word on Garmin's naming system, which might be a little confusing for newcomers. There are four Forerunner lines: 50, 250, 750, and 95. The lower-level models have a focus on running, but those higher up are also fully equipped with tools for swimmers, cyclists, and triathletes.

Watches in the Forerunner 50 range are affordable entry-level devices with everything a beginner needs, including GPS, all-day heart rate tracking, and sleep monitoring. The most recent entry in the range is the Forerunner 55, which launched worldwide in June 2021

Dying Light 2 devs launch update, backtrack three hours later

 Dying Light 2’s recent 1.2 patch has not gone down well with fans, who are angry after the update nerfed one of the game’s best items.   Although intended as an easter egg, the Korek Charm has become beloved by players for effectively letting them bypass the game’s weapon’s degradation system. Weapons in Dying Light 2 degrade with use, requiring you to discard them and replace them with shiny new options.  While it’s possible to restore the durability of degraded weapons by equipping them with stat-boosting mods, each mod only restores a meager 50 durability points. The iPhone 14 launch is likely to mean the end for the iPhone 11

 The arrival of the iPhone 14 later this year will mean the iPhone 11 gets shunted out of Apple's smartphone range, according to one tipster – so if you want the older phone then you've got a few months left to get it direct from Apple.  Sources speaking to iDropNews say that the iPhone 11 will be gone after the iPhone 14 range appears – not only due to its age but also because it potentially takes away sales from the iPhone SE (2022) that Apple launched in March.  Apparently, the iPhone 11 has sold more than the new iPhone SE since the latter phone arrived.
